The Future Ready Pathway is an innovative Years 5鈥�6 program that equips students with the skills, mindsets and confidence to thrive in Secondary and beyond.

Blending explicit Literacy and Numeracy instruction with meaningful, future-focused learning, Future Ready empowers students to think critically, collaborate effectively, and approach challenges with resilience and creativity.

Open to all learners, the pathway provides a supportive and energising environment where every student is stretched, inspired and prepared for success in Secondary schooling.

Research shows that students thrive when learning combines clear instruction, purposeful feedback, and opportunities to solve real-world problems. Future-Ready brings these elements together in a structured and engaging pathway.

By the end of Year 6, students are confident, capable and exceptionally prepared for Year 7.

A key feature of the program is our dedicated weekly Studio learning blocks.

In these Studios, students work collaboratively to design innovative solutions to real community and global challenges. Through rich, multi-disciplinary projects, they discover how literacy, numeracy, technologies and the humanities connect in meaningful ways.

Students learn to:

  • Think creatively

  • Collaborate effectively

  • Present ideas to authentic audiences

Studios develop independence, resilience and adaptability 鈥� essential qualities for success in high school and beyond.

Mind Hour is a signature element of the Future Ready Pathway.

This dedicated session focuses on the skills and habits that drive successful learning. Students develop:

  • Metacognition and self-awareness

  • Effective study habits

  • Assessment literacy

  • Organisation skills

  • Resilience and growth mindset

Mind Hour equips students with practical tools and proven strategies so they enter high school feeling prepared, confident and capable.
